As part of our Artist in Residence program, Nashville songwriting legends Jim Lauderdale, Verlon Thompson & Lillie Mae visited the Bluff for the first ever Songwriters in the Round concert & songwriters masterclass. On Friday, the trio of Americana superstars led a hands-on songwriters masterclass for 13 attendees at Somerset Chapel on a beautiful spring day in the Lowcountry. Attendees learned about verse and chord structure, and had the opportunity to perform their own songs and receive priceless knowledge and tips from a few of Nashville’s finest songwriters! On Saturday, the rain subsided, the clouds parted, and music lovers were treated to a night of story and song at Moreland Crossroads!
